When you think of The Game, you think of khakis and 40s, blunts and stick-ups, Dodgers and killers. But on Saturday night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the Compton rapper was all smiles, as he was there to accept the Humanitarian Of The Year award at the Associates for Breast and Prostate Cancer Studios (ABCs) annual Talk Of The Town gala.

The award was in recognition of Game's work with The Robin Hood Project, a charity he started in 2013. Through the foundation, the rapper has given away over $1 million of his own money to those in need, be they from his native Los Angeles or as far away as The Philippines. The Robin Hood Foundation has also made waves for its sometimes unconventional fundraising methods; late last year, Game rallied various Bloods and Crips to donate to the family of Talaib Pecante, a 7-year-old boy tragically killed in a gang shooting.

On Instagram, Game was humbled. "It all started when I gave one kid from Africa $20," he wrote. "I was just a poor kid from Compton...never thought in a million years I'd have even an extra dollar to giveaway [sic] let alone a million."
